La Barba!

Lo has oído aquí. La moda del verano 2010 es la barba. Esto podría tener algo que ver con el hecho de que ahora me encuentro más cerca a los cuarenta que a los treinta años, pero me digo que lo llevo porque es más barato y eficaz que el bloqueador solar. Sospecho que todos los hombres ilustres llegan a un momento en sus vidas cuando piensan a sí mismos, ¿por qué me afeito esta cosa magnífica? Ese día llegó a Willie Nelson, a Che Guevara, a Sócrates y tambien a Jesús. Pero Pep Guardiola? Icono de la moda y jefe de Barça? Cuando vi lo que cultivaba el en la cara, me sentí obligado a poner la navaja en el cajón... Més que una barba. Y Diego Maradona? Dicho y hecho.

You heard it here. The fashion trend of summer 2010 is the beard. This could have to do with the fact that I’ve now found myself closer to forty than thirty, but I like to tell myself that I wear the beard simply because it’s cheaper and more effective than sunscreen. I suspect that all illustrious men reach a moment in their lives when they think to themselves, why am I shaving away this magnificent thing? That day came early for Willie Nelson, Che Guevara, Socrates, and Jesus. But Pep Guardiola? Fashion icon and F.C Barcelona boss? When I saw what his face was cultivating, I was obligated to put my razor back in the drawer. Més que una barba. And Diego Maradona?  Enough said.
